Civic Center 7400 Columbia Street Port Hardy, BC [Map] [Event Link]

Torch will arrive in Port Hardy via BC Ferries and will cross Hardy Bay to our Seagate Pier in a canoe carved by First Nations artist Calvin Hunt. The torch will then proceed on it’s route in town and end at the Port Hardy Civic Center where the Community Torchbearer will light the cauldron and the Community Celebration will take place.

February 2, 2010 5:45 pm approximately

• Torch arrives at Seagate Pier in canoe;
• Torch receives First Nations welcome and blessing at Pier;
• Torch Relay in Port Hardy;
• 6:30 pm: Community Celebration - Combination of Vanoc and local entertainment, including First Nations dancers and drummers in the Port Hardy Civic Center Parking Lot;
• 8:30 pm: Evening ends in “Go Canada!” Red and White Fireworks display
